Colombia: Issues for Congress

This report reviews US aid to Colombia in the context of the drug conflicts and democratization processes. It begins with an overview of developments from 2008-2010. The authors describe the political situation, including human rights violations by Colombian security forces, global drug trends, and Colombia's role in maintaining regional security.
